Umrah taxi packages explained: what's included and what it costs

An Umrah taxi package with us covers Jeddah Airport to your Makkah hotel, Makkah to Madinah, a Madinah Ziyarat and the ride back to the airport in one booking, with one fixed price agreed before you travel. Priced leg by leg, those four legs add up to SAR 1,250 in an economy sedan for up to 3 people, or SAR 2,340 in a family van for up to 11.

What is an Umrah taxi package?

An Umrah taxi package puts the main journeys of your pilgrimage into one booking instead of several. You send your flights and hotels once, we plan each leg around them, and you get one fixed price for the whole trip before you travel. The package covers 3 to 5 legs, in any vehicle class from an economy sedan to a family van or group bus.

Our drivers hold Makkah permits, the legs include Ihram stops at the Miqat where your road passes one, and we keep the same driver for several legs where possible.

Which legs are included?

Most packages follow this order. If you fly into Madinah, it runs the other way.

  • Jeddah Airport to your Makkah hotel: 102 km, about 1 h 25 min, with meet-and-greet at arrivals.
  • Makkah Ziyarat (optional): Jabal al-Nour, Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat in about 3 to 4 hours.
  • Makkah to Madinah: 450 km, about 4 h 30 min, with rest and prayer stops.
  • Madinah Ziyarat: Masjid Quba, Mount Uhud and Masjid al-Qiblatayn in one morning, about 3 to 4 hours.
  • Madinah hotel to Madinah Airport, 18 km, or to Jeddah Airport, 402 km, if your flight home leaves from there.

What does an Umrah taxi package cost?

Your package price is confirmed as one fixed total on WhatsApp. As a guide, here is each leg at our standard fares, per vehicle, by day.

LegEconomy sedan (1–3)Comfort MPV (4–6)Family van (7–11)

Optional: Makkah Ziyarat, 3 hoursSAR 240SAR 360SAR 450
Instead of Madinah Airport: Madinah to Jeddah AirportSAR 690SAR 1,010SAR 1,290

What does that mean per person?

Because the price is per vehicle, a family of 6 in a Comfort MPV pays about SAR 307 each for the four legs, and 11 people in a family van about SAR 213 each. A leg between 00:00 and 05:00 adds 20% to that leg, and the quote shows it.

Flying into Madinah instead?

Many pilgrims fly into Madinah and out of Jeddah. The package then runs from Madinah Airport to your hotel (SAR 60 in an economy sedan), Madinah to Makkah (SAR 770) and Makkah to Jeddah Airport (SAR 180). On the way from Madinah to Makkah, the driver stops at Dhul Hulayfah, the Miqat of Madinah, when you ask, so you can enter Ihram. Our guide to Miqat stops by car explains the stop.

What is included in every leg?

  • Fuel, any tolls and the driver.
  • Flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, with a name board at arrivals.
  • Rest, prayer and Miqat stops on the long legs.
  • Drop-off at your hotel, or the nearest open drop point when roads near the Haram are closed.
  • Help with luggage, up to the vehicle's capacity.
  • The driver's name and plate the day before each leg.
  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.

Which vehicle suits your group?

Count suitcases as well as people, and leave room for Zamzam on the way home. An economy sedan takes up to 3 passengers and 2 suitcases, a Comfort MPV 6 and 5, and a family van 11 and 10. Our family vans are permitted for the Makkah central area.

Groups of 12 or more can use group buses with 22 to 50 seats; see Umrah transport for groups. For a wheelchair user, a ramp-equipped van carries the chair and up to 4 companions.

What the package does not cover

The package is transport only. It does not include your Umrah permit, visa, hotel, train tickets or entry to any site.

You need an Umrah permit booked through the Nusuk app, and only Muslims may enter Makkah. Rules change, so confirm them on Nusuk or with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah before you travel; our Nusuk permit guide explains the steps. In the Hajj season, transport runs under separate Hajj permits, so book our Hajj transport service instead.

How to book an Umrah taxi package

  • Send your flight numbers, arrival and departure airports, dates and hotel names on WhatsApp.
  • Say how many adults and children are travelling, how many suitcases you have and whether anyone needs a wheelchair.
  • Choose the optional legs: Makkah Ziyarat, Madinah Ziyarat, Taif or Badr.
  • We reply with one fixed total for the package.
  • Pay leg by leg in the car in cash or by card, or pay ahead by bank transfer or the STC Bank app.

Questions readers ask

Do I have to book all the legs?

No. The package covers 3 to 5 legs, and you choose which. You can also book any single leg on its own.

Will I have the same driver for every leg?

We keep the same driver for several legs where possible. Either way, you get the driver's name and plate the day before each trip.

Can I add Taif or Badr?

Yes. Taif is 90 km from Makkah and Badr 150 km from Madinah. Add them when you book and they become part of the same quote.

What if my flight changes?

Message us on WhatsApp with the new flight. Changes to the time are free whenever possible, and we track the new flight.

Does the package cover Hajj?

No. Hajj transport is a separate service with Hajj-permitted vehicles. Permits are limited, so book early.
