How far is Riyadh Airport from Olaya and KAFD?

The trip from Riyadh Airport to Olaya is about 35 km and takes around 40 min outside rush hour. King Khalid International Airport (RUH) lies north of the city, and Olaya is the central business district around Kingdom Centre, with hotels such as Four Seasons Kingdom Centre and Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya.

King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is a newer business district of office towers. Fares start from SAR 60 for both; send us the building or hotel name and we confirm the fixed fare before you book.

Traffic makes the biggest difference. Peak traffic on King Fahd Road adds about 20 minutes, and during Riyadh Season, usually October to March, evening traffic is heavy around the event zones such as Boulevard City.

When does the Riyadh Metro make sense?

The Riyadh Metro serves the airport, and the fare is per person, so it can be the cheapest way into the city for one traveller with a small bag. It works best when your hotel or office is close to a station and you land during operating hours.

It is less convenient with several suitcases, children or elderly parents, because you may need to change lines and walk from the station to your door. Lines, stations, hours and fares are set by the operator and can change, so check its official map and app before you travel. Our taxi vs Riyadh Metro comparison sets the two side by side, and the Riyadh Metro guide covers using it day to day.

Where does your driver meet you at King Khalid Airport?

The meeting point is the arrivals hall after baggage claim at your terminal, and the driver sends you a live location pin on WhatsApp. RUH has five terminals and airlines do move between them, so send us your flight number and we meet you at the right one. Our guide to Riyadh airport terminals explains the layout.

We track your flight. The driver works to the real landing time and waits free for 60 minutes after you land, with no extra charge for airline delays.

Business trips: meetings, hotels and a driver for the day

Most business trips in Riyadh go to KAFD, the Diplomatic Quarter and Riyadh Front. If your day has several addresses, keep a car and driver by the hour instead of booking each ride.

An hourly chauffeur costs from SAR 95 per hour in a standard sedan, with a 3-hour minimum, and the driver waits at every stop. For executives, the Luxury / VIP class offers S-Class, 7 Series and Escalade cars with suited chauffeurs.

Companies can open a corporate account: staff airport runs and executive cars on one monthly invoice with VAT, trip reports per cost centre and a dedicated dispatcher.
