Which flights use Jeddah Airport Terminal 1?
Jeddah Airport Terminal 1, at King Abdulaziz International Airport, handles most scheduled international and domestic flights. The airport also has a separate Hajj Terminal, which handles pilgrim charter flights.
Terminal allocations can change, so check the terminal on your ticket or booking and on the airport's official website a day or two before you fly. Send us your flight number and we meet you at the terminal you actually land at. Our Jeddah Airport guide covers the rest of the airport.
From the plane to the arrivals hall
How long this takes depends on the queue at passport control, which varies with the time of day and how many flights land together. That is why we track your flight and count the free waiting time from landing, not from the scheduled time.
- Follow the signs to passport control. Have your passport, visa and onward or return ticket ready.
- Collect your bags from the belt shown for your flight. Trolleys are available in the hall.
- Pass through customs.
- Walk out through the exit gate into the arrivals hall. This is where your driver waits.
Where exactly does your driver wait?
Your driver stands in the Terminal 1 arrivals hall at the exit gate after customs, holding a name board with your name. You receive the driver's name, photo and plate number before you land, and the driver messages you on WhatsApp.
If you cannot see the driver, stay near the exit gate rather than walking outside, and message or call us on +966 57 951 9804. The driver will come to you. People sometimes offer rides in arrivals halls; politely decline and wait for the driver whose name and photo you were sent.
What if your flight is late or immigration is slow?
There is nothing extra to pay for airline delays. We track the flight, the driver adjusts to the real landing time, and he waits free for 60 minutes after landing. If a long queue at passport control or a missing bag will keep you longer, message us on WhatsApp so we can plan around it.
Is there a train station at Terminal 1?
Yes. The Haramain High-Speed Railway has a station at Terminal 1, with trains towards Makkah and Madinah. It suits solo travellers with light bags whose timing fits the timetable; check the operator's website for times and fares. Makkah station is about 6 km from the Haram, so if you take the train, a taxi from Makkah Haramain station can meet you at the other end.
Taxi fares from Jeddah Airport Terminal 1
Fares are per car and fixed before you fly, including fuel, tolls, the driver and meet-and-greet. A night surcharge of 20% applies between 00:00 and 05:00 and is shown in your quote.
